The inspiring and beautiful Michelle Regazzoli-Stone aka MRS Makeup held her “Make a Difference Masterclass” in the 5 star Shelbourne Hotel on the 26th of March (Mother’s Day) raising much needed funds for two children’s cancer charities.
Michelle, who is a makeup artist for over 14 years and is the make-up artist of choice for Rosanna Davison, Suzanne Jackson aka So Sue Me, Maura Derrane and a host of other well-known celebrities used her platform to raise awareness and much needed funds for these two childhood cancer charities “The Conor Foley Neuroblastoma Cancer Research Foundation (CFNCRF)” and “Childhood Cancer Foundation (CCF)”.
Just a little bit about the two charities:
The Conor Foley Neuroblastoma Cancer Research Foundation (CFNCRF) – this group is a registered not-for-profit voluntary led charity founded in 2015 and headed by the bereaved parents of Neuroblastoma patient Conor Foley and they are looking at funding research into less toxic and more effective treatments for kids and have made good partnerships with key individuals in the oncology and research communities.
Childhood Cancer Foundation (CCF) – this group is a registered voluntary led charity founded in 2013 by parents of children with cancer and looks after any family fighting childhood cancer. They provide the “bead of courage” programme which is instrumental in helping kids process the trauma of treatment. Each medical procedure they undergo they receive a bead which allows them to track and talk about their journey. CCF also work tirelessly to further the cause of childhood cancer on a national and international level.
My fabulous mother and I arrived at the Shelbourne Hotel where queues of glam and stylish ladies queued for what was to be an unbelievable day.
My outfit of the day #ootd:
Top: Jerros Birr
Watch: Michael Kors
On entry, we received our amazing goodie bags.
Fabulous stalls awaited us including Meaghers Pharmacy, Instaglam Phothobooths, MelMarié, Lovely Bubbly, Ceira Lambert Hair Consultancy, Airbase Ireland, The Balm Cosmetics plus much more. Also, a number of Ireland’s most popular makeup artists were there, in a workshop setting, giving one-on-one applications and demonstrations in return for a donation for the charities.
Michelle who had put so much hard work and effort into her masterclass with the help of her family – parents, sister Louise, hubby Mark, sons Hugo and Max all attended the masterclass to show their support as Michelle took to the stage.
Michelle who undoubtedly was emotional spoke of how the masterclass came about as one of her childhood friends she met back in October told of her brother’s daughter being diagnosed with cancer had felt saddened to hear of the news as with anyone hearing of childhood cancer it’s a shock to hear and saddening as they are beautiful innocent little kids going through what no one should ever go through. Also, Michelle and her Hubby while on a trip to Galway after Christmas decided to go to the cinema to watch “Collateral Beauty” featuring Will Smith, the film was about his young daughter’s tragic death and in Michelle’s own words “she was a blubbering mess after watching this film” decided to use the platform that she has to do a “Make a Difference Masterclass” as Michelle being a mother of two was lucky and privileged to have two healthy and happy boys and yet some Mothers and Fathers have the devastating effects of having a sick child which no one ever wants to be in that position but unfortunately it’s happening every day.
Throughout the day:
Conor Foley’s brave sister took to the stage to tell us all about her handsome little brother and the journey they went through as a family through his illness and to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the room is an understatement.
The Bellamianta girls took to the stage to tell us all about their popular and sought after tan and the products in their range. The exciting brand is based and manufactured in Ireland. The range provides clean, nutritious, luxury tanning products formulated with the cleanest ingredients without compromising on performance.
Michelle was then joined on stage by Suzanne Jackson aka So Sue Me and Carla Jackson (Model) for Michelle’s makeup demo while Suzanne chatted to the audience and took questions from the audience for Michelle to answer.
Imelda Maguire – MelMarie founder and director who supplies high quality synthetic weaves and ponytails to the professional hairdressing industry, showed all us ladies how simple and easy to apply the weaves are on the beautiful Louise (Michelle’s sister) #alexgerrard #blondebeauty #wag
During the breaks my mother and I had some light refreshments and sampled some of the tastiest cake pops and cupcakes from The Cake Cuppery, they were simply divine. We also visited all the stalls on offer.

Ceira Lambert who provides professional hair extensions and is the number one choice for celebrity hair extensions showcased the use of the instyler on the stunning Rosanna Davison and Ceira who is a dedicated specialist in the application and aftercare of professionally applied extensions showed us how the hair extensions are applied and showed how small the bonds are.
Mary Claire of the Childhood Cancer Foundation spoke about the foundation and the work they do and then father Alan Pearson took to the stage to talk about his beautiful daughter Cliodhna (Michelle’s childhood friend’s niece) who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and her long course of treatment aimed at stopping the cancer, eliminating the source and preventing reoccurrence. He told us about the massive amount of treatments that his beautiful daughter had undergone and the benefits of the “Bead of Courage” programme. It was simply heart-breaking and yet again not another dry eye in the room but little Cliodhna is on the road to recovery and doing well.
And a massive raffle was held for the concluding part of the event with so many generous and kind supportive businesses offering vouchers, hampers and prizes which were given out by Michelle and Rosanna Davison.
As Michelle said “Children are the future, we need to help!! Our children need to see us support other children! Let’s get to find a cure or offer support!” and Michelle should be so very proud as Hugo and Max definitely witnessed that last Sunday.
